Melody Magic Therapy has many different forms of music therapy. We want to make music therapy as accessible as possible. We offer individual, group, family, and virtual music therapy sessions. There is something for everyone!
Individual music therapy consists of one-on-one sessions with a Music Therapist Accredited (MTA). Sessions may take place in the client’s home or within a facility and are tailored to address the individual’s unique therapeutic needs and goals. This format is particularly beneficial for individuals who prefer a personalized approach, find group settings challenging, have specific therapeutic objectives, or present with complex or co-occurring diagnoses.
Group music therapy involves two or more participants engaging in therapeutic music experiences facilitated by a Music Therapist Accredited (MTA). Groups may be designed for individuals with similar needs or diagnoses, or structured as family-based music therapy groups. Sessions can be offered in the home or within a facility and promote connection, communication, emotional expression, and shared support through music.
Family music therapy involves multiple family members participating together in sessions led by a Music Therapist Accredited (MTA). These sessions support family connection, communication, and emotional processing, and may focus on navigating life transitions, coping with significant events, or supporting the integration of a new family member. Family music therapy is provided within the home to support comfort and meaningful engagement.
Telehealth music therapy provides individual or group sessions delivered virtually through a secure online platform with a Music Therapist Accredited (MTA). This service is ideal for individuals or families who live outside of Ontario or prefer the flexibility of virtual therapy. Participation requires access to an electronic device, a stable internet connection, and a functioning webcam and microphone.
