Melody Magic Therapy teaches music lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice. Melody Magic Therapy also has options to book us for music services such as birthdays, funerals, weddings, and private events.
Kyla Lance, BMT, MTA, MT-BC
Kyla Lance holds a Bachelor of Music Therapy with a Minor in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as a post-graduate diploma in Mental Health and Disability Management from Mohawk College. Her primary instruments include voice, piano, and ukulele.
Kyla has extensive clinical experience working as a Music Therapist with individuals across the lifespan, supporting clients with neurodevelopmental, neurological, mental health, medical, and palliative care needs. Her areas of experience include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), ADHD, Rett Syndrome, anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, cancer, acquired brain injury (including aphasia and apraxia), dementia, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, complex grief, palliative care, and members of the Deafblind community.
Music therapy is a discipline in which Certified Music Therapists (MTAs) use music purposefully within therapeutic relationships to support development, health, and well-being. Music therapists use music safely and ethically to address human needs within cognitive, communicative, emotional, musical, physical, social, and spiritual domains.
